Trail Tote by Noodlehead

Sewing Experience Level Required: Advanced Beginner

Additional Materials to Buy: YES!‍ ‍

In this 4.5 hour class, we will be sewing the large version of The Trail Tote by Noodlehead.  Not only is it a roomy bag that is fun to wear, it is also a great skill builder with zippered pockets and ⅛” covered piping.

This a project for advanced beginners.

Materials that you must buy separately and bring with you to class:

  • The Trail Tote by Noodlehead pattern.  You can buy it here for $12.  If class is less than 2 weeks away, I suggest buying the PDF version so that you have plenty of time to cut your fabric and fuse your interfacing.

  • All pattern pieces should be cut and interfacing applied according to the pattern instructions.

  • 1 ½ yards of ⅛” covered cotton piping.  I like this product.  If you’d like to cover your own and bring it with you to class, that’s also an option, but you’ll likely need a piping presser foot.  We’ll be using one in class to attach the piping to the exterior.

Materials that I can provide free of charge, but you may prefer to choose your own colors/styles:

Like all my classes, you will have the use of a Janome sewing machine (8077 or 7330) and basic sewing tools like scissors, acrylic ruler, needles, clips, pins, iron, marking tools, etc.
