Absolute Beginner students will learn the basics of machine sewing, like sewing a straight seam with backstitch and apply their new skills to a first project, a useful and attractive reversible fabric basket.  Students are required to use one of our sewing machines.

No prerequisite skills required.

New skills acquired:

-straight seam with backstitch
-pressing with an iron
-creating box corners
-topstitching

-cotton canvas fabric
-coordinating thread
