THIS CLASS IS 4 HOURS.  Advanced beginner students will learn to quilt, sew french seams and install a zipper.  This class requires 4 hours because of the quilting element.  Go here‍ ‍to see the pattern, although there will be slight variations made by the instructor.  Materials will be supplied for 2 pouches.  Fabric options will vary. It is likely that only 1 pouch will be completed in class. 

Prerequisite skills:

-straight seam with a backstitch
-pressing with an iron

New skills acquired:

-quilting with a walking foot
-french seams to enclose raw edges
-install a zipper   

Materials included:

-fabric for exterior and lining of 2 pouches (approximately 1 yard total)
-cotton batting
-14 inch zipper (2)
-coordinating thread
